Meeting Space Requests
AUSA welcomes affiliated organizations, government, exhibitors, and sponsors to convene and host various functions during Annual Meeting 2026 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and partnering hotels. Please review the policies for each property before completing the meeting space application.
Full-day Or Multi-Day Events:
Full-day or multi-day space can be reserved at the following properties:
- Marriott Marquis Washington, DC
- Courtyard/Residence Inn by Marriott Washington Downtown/Convention Center
- The Westin Washington, DC Downtown
Policies:
- Must be an AUSA National, Community or Association Partner, or U.S. Military/Government Organization.
- If you need multiple spaces, fill out the application once for each meeting space (please submit the requests with different event names).
- Must meet food and beverage minimum set by the hotel.
- Meeting space requests are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Signage for your event cannot be placed throughout the Convention Center. Each event is allotted 1 sign outside of the event space.
- Rental, specialty equipment, audio visual, internet, food and beverage or any other costs associated with the room are the responsibility of the reserving company/organization.
- NOTE: After your request has been approved by AUSA, a contract with the hotel must be signed to confirm your meeting space.
Booking Fees:
To submit a meeting space application, a non-refundable booking fee is required. Payment will be processed after your event has been approved by AUSA. Refunds will only be granted if AUSA cannot accommodate your meeting request.
- $500 per day/per function space for AUSA National, Community, & Association Partners, and International Military
- $400 per day/per function space for Exhibiting or Sponsoring Companies
- $350 per day/per function space for U.S. Military/Government Organizations
- $300 per day/per function space for AUSA Chapters
Hotel Meeting Space Request Form
On-Site Meeting Space:
Meeting space for a maximum of 2 hours per day per company can be reserved at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
AUSA will be accepting meeting space requests for functions at the Convention Center through Friday, 4 September 2026.
Policies:
- No run of show requests; or multiple back-to-back room reservation blocks allowed.
- Max time allotted is 2 hours per day.
- Meeting space requests are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Signage for your event cannot be placed throughout the Convention Center. Each event is allotted 1 sign outside of the event space.
- The booking fees includes standard equipment only.
- Specialty equipment, audio visual, internet, food and beverage or any other costs associated with the room are the responsibility of the reserving company/organization.
Standard equipment includes:
- Function floorplan drafted by the Convention Center
- Facility tables (banquet rounds/classroom tables; does not include high-boy tables)
- Chairs
- Riser
- Lectern
- One easel per room upon request
- Facility contacts for ordering av, food and specialty equipment
Booking Fees:

- $1450 for non-members
- $950 for National, Community, & Association Partners and International Military
- $700 for Exhibiting and Sponsoring Companies
- $325 for AUSA Chapters

Walter E. Washington Convention Center Meeting Space Request Form
NEED A QUIET SPACE FOR ONSITE MEETINGS FOR 20 PEOPLE OR FEWER?
AUSA will offer “pop-up” meeting space in the Walter E. Washington Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis for groups of 20 or fewer. These requests can be made onsite in room 206 of the Walter E. Washington Convention Center starting Sunday, 11 October at 0800 or by emailing pop-ups@ausa.org. Email requests can be sent at any time and requests will be filled in the order in which they were received starting in October.
Pop-up meeting space may only be reserved for a max of 1 hour. Food/beverage service is not available in these rooms and reserving parties must supply their own AV. The rooms are set in a standard configuration and cannot be changed. Pop-up rooms accommodate groups of 20, 12 or 8 attendees. These rooms are free of charge.
