Hercules HS-D High Speed D-Sub Connector

Using VITA and SOSA approved architectures, Meritec has built upon the proven success of its Hercules Interconnection System to create a new generation of smaller, higher-density inter-connectors. The first of which is the MIL-DTL-24308 Hercules HS-D High-Speed D-Sub Connector.

Hercules HS-D is designed to meet the needs of the defense industry. The connector features a hermaphroditic contact interface like the Hercules MIL-DTL-38999 (VITA 76.0), stamped from a roll of high-grade copper and selectively plated. It is available in shell sizes DE, DA, DB, DC, and DD, with pin counts of 19, 31, 51, 75, and 108, enabling standard MIL-DTL-24308 accessories and backshells to be utilized. Optional right-angle backshells can be flipped for top or bottom egress, providing added flexibility.
Hercules HS-D is capable of supporting data rates over 10 Gb/s and offers environmental performance in temperatures ranging from -40°C to +125°C. Two molded, O-ring environmental seals made of conductive silicone secure the flange to the panel and the receptacle to the mating plug, providing EMI protection for both components.
