RAMJET-Powered Artillery Projectile

Working together under a strategic partnership, Boeing and Nammo have successfully test-fired a ramjet-powered artillery projectile in support the US Army’s number one modernization priority – Long Range Precision Fires. Witnessed by representatives from the U.S. Army and industry, the Boeing-Nammo Ramjet 155 was fired from a cannon, and as noted in the news release “demonstrated flight stability with a well-controlled engine combustion process.” Working together as strategic partners since 2019, and with a Phase II technology development contract awarded in 2021 – the Nammo-Boeing team will continue with further testing in the coming months.
